FUND

A COMMUNITY-FUNDRAISED POT OF MONEY FROM WHICH GRANTS CAN BE MADE TO LOCAL PEOPLE WHO FIND THEMSELVES IN A VULNERABLE FINANCIAL POSITION.

If you are in financial difficulty, we’d love to see if we can help.

What is the Neighbour Fund?

The St Basil’s Neighbour Fund is a community-fundraised pot of money from which grants can be made to local people driven into a vulnerable financial position by difficult circumstances. For example if someone is unable to buy groceries, pay bills or prescriptions, fix a car, replace a household appliance, buy clothing for children or other similar needs arising from financial hardship.

How much does the fund offer & how many times can I apply?

The fund will make grants of up to £300 to individuals for immediate emergency needs, up to three times per household.

You can apply for yourself or for someone else you know who is in need, using the form below. Only those within the geography of the Neighbour Fund can receive a grant, this includes the postcodes of EX6, EX5 5, EX4, EX2, EX17, EX20, TQ13.

Who can apply?

Simply fill in the form at the bottom of this page.

Please send with your application any documents that will help us make a speedy decision on your request. For example if you are requesting support to pay for repairs to your car, please include the invoice from the garage.

To carry on our work in the community, would you consider giving to the Neighbour Fund?

“St Basil's gifted me from their Neighbour Fund, during the Covid Pandemic. I am a Self Employed worker, working in the hospitality sector. My work had disappeared for three extended periods of time, due to the lockdowns and restrictions. It got to a point where I could not pay for food, or pay my bills. I will be forever grateful, not just for the financial help, but for the moral support St Basil's have given me. I could not have got through the last year without them.”
